Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine is an enigmatic musician, singer and actor. He blends soul gospel jazz and R&B for a distinctive mix. Avery Sunshine's work has led her from Broadway to European concerts and festivals and even to her participation in the Democratic National Convention. Her real name is Denise White. While she is living in Atlanta now, Sunshine is born in Chester Pennsylvania. In Chester Pennsylvania she began her career as a musician singing and playing in the church in town. In Atlanta, she attended Spellman College where her musical training began on the Atlanta's R&B Scene. The year 2005 saw Tyler Perry hired her as his primary keyboardist for the stage production Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday, who won Tony and Grammy Awards for her voice and her music, invited Sunshine to sing in the Dreamgirls production at the Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine was brought to the attention of America during the daily performances of four at the 2008 Democratic National Convention. Sunshine was later asked to sing in the presence of President Barack Obama at his inauguration.
