Reese Witherspoon took her career seriously after enrolling first as a student at Stanford University. The first successes of her acting career included films like Pleasantville and Election however, her performance as Elle Woods was the turning point for her. Witherspoon was awarded an Academy Award in 2005 for her role on Walk the Line. The most recent movies also include Water for Elephants This Means War and Wild with which she won another Oscar nomination. Witherspoon was also a highly successful TV producer and star of David E. Kelley's award-winning TV show Big Little Lies. Witherspoon was born Laura Jean Reese Witherspoon on March 22 1976 at New Orleans Louisiana. Witherspoon was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on the 22nd of March, 1996. The parents of her were medical doctor, as well as a nurse. Witherspoon was a debutante in the town of Nashville Tennessee in 1991. She was a part of the request for extras in the local newspaper. A mere 14-year-old, she became the star of her debut film The Man in the Moon ( 1991). Witherspoon was so tempted to stop acting her initial year after high school that she contemplated pursuing a career in medicine. In the 2003 film The Invisible Man she had her first feature-length role. Her TV career started with House of Lies Whitney. Also, she was a character as a character in The Dictator (1998) and The Incredible Burt Wonderstone (2006). In addition to her work as an actor, she is also a talented artist who has shown her work in numerous galleries.
